Fall Elopement In Telluride
J + R are Colorado locals and decided to have their fall elopement in Telluride! Which is one of their favorite locations in Colorado. Telluride is more stunning in the fall than usual and it is not filled with crowds during the fall. So, we spent the day exploring some of their favorite trails.
First, J + R got ready together then they wrote their vows together on the rooftop of The National Telluride restaurant. They shared laughs as they wrote their vows. Then, they did the cake cutting before heading out for the day to get married in Telluride and explore the area.
Afterwards, we headed towards the San Sophia station t take the gondola to the San Sophia Overlook. The gondola is one of the best parts of Telluride, it’s a walkable town but you can also take the gondola to most spots. Once we got to the top of San Sophia, they got to have some time just to take in all of Telluride’s beauty before saying their vows. It is important to have buffer time in your timeline so the day doesn’t feel rushed and you get time to relax and just be in the moment.
J + R said their vows as I photographed from a distance to give them plenty of privacy. They celebrated with a kiss then we took portraits of with the mountain backdrop. San Sophia has so much trails to explore and they are accessible. It is the perfect spot to elope if you want epic mountain views without a long hike.
We explored other locations before taking the gondola back to our starting point. Then, we took some portraits on Main Street before ending the day. Main Street is one of the iconic spots to take photos in Telluride. The mountain backdrop combined with the architecture just makes it more special. Main Street also has a lot of local businesses so it’s a good spot to just interact with locals and support local business owners.
