Whether you want the epic mountain views or you want the waterfalls and meadows, Yosemite is the best place to elope. Yosemite has something for everyone whether you are an avid hiker or you prefer not to hike at all or you are somewhere in between. Here are some of the best places to elope in Yosemite.
Taft Point is one of the best places to elope in Yosemite along with Glacier Point. You get panoramic views of the park. You get epic cliffside photos all over Instagram. This location is most accessible when Glacier Point Road is open which is usually August to mid-November. Taft Point is perfect for adventurous couples.
This spot is perfect for couples who want to say their vows with the views of Half Dome in the background. This spot is also close to Taft Point so couples can explore and take photos at both locations. Glacier Point is also very accessible. You don’t have to hike it at all, just like Taft Point, you can drive up Glacier Point Road to get there.
Tunnel View is one of my personal favorites. This is the best spot to take portraits after your elopement ceremony. It is also a great spot to do a first look. Tunnel View doesn’t require any hiking and you still get epic mountain views including Half Dome in the far distance.
Yosemite is full of beautiful meadows and amazing waterfalls. It’s best to see the waterfalls in the spring. The meadows are a perfect option for picnics and just to relax. The meadows are also great locations to have your first look, say your vows, and have your first dance. The fall season is the best time to get colorful photos like the one above. Here is a list of meadows that would be perfect for your Yosemite elopement.
