You’re eloping in Yosemite and are wondering about where to stay. In this guide, I go over places to stay in Yosemite. There are a lot of lodging options and I have personally stayed at some of these locations.
When you are eloping in Yosemite, the best lodging option is to stay inside the park. Some of the best places to stay in Yosemite include Curry Village cabins, Yosemite Valley Lodge, Wawona Hotel, and the Ahwahnee Hotel. These locations are all very close to the park and you don’t have to worry too much about traffic on your elopement day. I recommend Curry Village the most because the other locations are within a 30-minute driving distance from the entrance gate but the Curry Village cabins are inside of the park. I think it’s worth the price for the convenience. You get the option of heated or unheated tents. The heated tents will cost more.
You can’t go wrong with choosing any of these locations.
The 3 best cities to stay near Yosemite are El Portal, Oakhurst, and Mariposa. mariposa is usually where I make a stop when I’m driving to Yosemite. It has cool shops and I love seeing people just walking around and having a good time. The Airbnbs in these locations are affordable and all the locations are within an hour of Yosemite. Here are some of my favorite Airbnbs in Mariposa and El Portal:

If you wanted to save more, I would say staying 2+ hours from the park is a good option. But, There is more driving involved but the views will be worth it! Here are some locations to stay that are a couple of hours away:
When you are eloping in Yosemite, I recommend booking your lodging options at least 3 months out. You want to secure the best lodging ahead of time so you can focus on just your elopement day and have a good time.
