Glacier Point Elopement

K + W had their dream Glacier Point elopement in Yosemite. They are big nature lovers and Yosemite National Park is their favorite park and Glacier is one of their favorite trails. So, it’s no surprise they chose to elope at Glacier Point.

I met them at the start of the trail, Glacier parking lot. The weather was a little chilly in the morning but warmed up later. K + W got ready separately standing on opposite sides of their car. Then we headed down to the Glacier Point Amphitheater to do their first look. W was facing Half Dome while waiting for K. They had their first look and shared a sweet hug. What a beautiful moment and a beautiful way to start off the day! We took some portraits before we started exploring more scenic areas around Glacier Point.

While exploring we stopped at some scenic spots to take portraits. K + W both were happy to see all of the peaks and epic views at Glacier. I let them have a moment to take in all of the beauty Yosemite has to offer. It’s so important to take a moment to take it all in and enjoy each other’s company when eloping.

After exploring we headed to the point which is one of the best views at Glacier. This is where K + W said “I do”. They said their sweet vows and shared a sweet kiss afterward. Then they celebrated by popping bottles and drinking their favorite drink. Both of their faces were lit up with joy as they were spraying the drink and they genuinely were having the best time, ever. They even did a silly celebration dance. I love capturing these kinds of moments where couples can be their authentic selves and do activities they enjoy. After this, they took some portraits then they had some moments to sit and just enjoy the view and take in their special moment.

We took some fun portraits before going back down to the amphitheater area. Along the way, we stopped at one of the scenic spots we explored before for K + W’s first dance. It was just magical! I love photographing the special moments.

After the first dance, we continued heading down to the amphitheater area and once we got there – there was a bit of a crowd but we still found a nice spot for K + W to sit and relax. They made hot chocolate together and had some time to relax and chat.

Before wrapping up the day, they wanted to get some photos of one of the iconic rocks. Then we headed back to the parking lot.

K + W’s Glacier Point elopement in Yosemite was magical and fun. They explored their favorite spots and did their favorite activities. The beauty in eloping is getting to celebrate your love the way you want, going at your own pace, and of course, getting married in the most epic destinations.
