If you’re planning your elopement and looking for the best places to elope in california, then this guide is for you! California is as we know has very diverse landscapes. Whether you are looking for a mountain location, forests or the desert – California has it all. Because of the variety in landscapes, you can also elope here year-round. With that said, here are some of the best California elopement locations,
Some of the best places to elope in California include, Mammoth Lakes, Redwoods, Big Sur, Joshua Tree and San Diego. Whether you want a mountain elopement, a coastal elopement or desert elopement – California has so many options to choose from. Some of these locations are not the most iconic spots to elope like Yosemite but they are equally as stunning and more quiet.
San Diego is known for the coastal landscapes like Sunset Cliffs. But San Diego actually has other amazing spots like Torrey Pines, Anza-Borrego, Lake Cuyamaca and more. You get the coastal spots but if you wanted something unique then there are definitely more options.
San Diego is a great spot to elope because you can elope year-round and there are a ton of activities to do as well.
If you want to say your vows near a stunning lake with mountain backdrops this is the perfect spot! There are a lot of stunning lakes all around and thi location is even more stunning in the fall. Some of my favorite spots to elope in Mammoth Lakes are June Lake, Convict Lake and Crowley Lake.
The best times to elope are the summer and fall. Fall is usually the slower season so it’s the best time to plan an elopement without the crowd.
Whether you want to plan a whimsical forest elopement at Redwoods National Park or at a state park, there are a lot of redwoods in the state. Humboldt Redwoods State Park and Glen Oaks Big Sur are some of my favorite spots for a Redwoods elopement.
Big Sur is among the most iconic spots to elope in California. It is a great spot to elope if you are looking for wildflower meadows and coastal landscapes. The best times to elope in Big Sur is from May through November.
Finally, we have Joshua Tree! Which is one of my favorite elopement spots ever. It’s just a unique spot and it’s the best spot to elope in the fall and winter seasons. I recommend planning your day around sunset or sunrise to avoid the desert heat.
Joshua Tree has a lot of cool hotels and airbnbs as well.
