You can elope in New York year round, it just depends on what type of season and scenery you want. Fall is the best time to elope if you want the stunning fall colors as a backdrop. Spring is a great time to elope if you want a waterfall elopement. Summer is the best time for a lakefront elopement and winter is perfect for couples that want to do winter activities or just love the winter wonderland vibe.

For mountain elopements like the Adirondacks or the Catskills – I recommend eloping in the fall. Mountain locations are usually very crowded in the summer.

This is the most popular spots for elopements in Upstate New York for good reasons. It’s the perfect spot for couples that want a mountain elopement or a lakeside mountain elopement. Some of my favorite elopement spots in the Adirondacks include,

This spot is one of the highest elevations in Upstate New York. It’s the best place for a mountaintop elopement. It’s such a magical location especially in the fall season.
