A Fall Ouray Colorado Elopement
A fall Ouray Colorado elopement in the San Juan Mountains is beyond stunning. K + V are originally from Arizona and relocated to Colorado. They love the San Juan Mountains and decided to spend their elopement day exploring the mountains of Ouray. What’s more epic than saying your heartfelt vows in the mountains? There’s nothing better than eloping in a secluded alpine lake and mountain spot in Ouray.
K + V’s Ouray Colorado Elopement
The day started with driving with a 4×4 jeep tour, Switzerland Of America. Once we got to the ceremony location, they got really on opposite sides of the Jeep. Then, we walked down to this beautiful alpine lake spot to do the first look and vows. The alpine lake was the perfect spot to say their vows in a secret spot. They did the first look, it was such sweet moment. Then they said their heartfelt vows while I was capturing the moment from a distance to give them more privacy. Then, they explored the location more as it started to rain. They got to dance in the rain and get some fun portraits as well. Something to know about eloping in the mountains is that the mountains have their own weather.
We then headed back to the Jeep to warm up before heading to our next locations. The rain stopped by the time we arrived. The next mountain location was very secluded and K & V had the whole place to themselves. They got to explore this location before heading back to town to wrap up their elopement day session.
On the way back we drove through some of the Corkscrew Gulch and seeing the Red Mountains at sunset was just magical! The whole drive back to town was an adventure in of itself. Once we got to town, K &V stopped at Thai Chili for Thai food to end their beautiful elopement day.
